Linodef for external websites?

The importance of the website are links, and Linodef is a very powerfull advantage for that, but all people always are linking to many diferent websites.
I think that will be very usefull, use this module for link to another websites, made with drupal.
It is very important for instance (example based on drupal.org):
- multisite webs that are similar (drupal, drupal api, drupals lists,...).
- sites that discus about drupal (authors are always linking to drupal nodes).
- drupal users, that reference their own web to other users (example of code, functionality, configuration ...).

I am not sure whether it is possible, but I believe that is a good idea also would be a very good point for the future development of this module.
I have more ideas for this, if is posible to do that submodule.

Linodef needs access to the installations database (indirectly by using the functions Drupal provides). However maybe there are modules which allows some sort of sharing data between several Drupal/multisite installations (I think I read about a module to share users). With such a module at hand it would be realizable.

I believe that:
- webservicesapi
- webservices
are a very good point to start, almost this will be updated to Drupal 7.
Unfortunately still I am learning the principles of programming for Drupal, and I can't do this module.
Posibly in the future...
