Chat Room Fix

Is there a fix available for the chat room module (Drupal 5.x), i.e. a patch? When I have tried to install this module you cannot post any messages to the chat room window.

No workaround yet.
I have now tried using the 5.x dev version and the chat room worked on a test server, but when I uploaded to my host, it failed to work.
I have also tried upgrading to drupal 6.x from 5.x but there was an issue with the chat room on the database. :-(
A chat room would add great functionality to sites - so I hope it is possible to fix this for drupal 5 and hopefully ASAP.
