Users can't change user pictures

First of all - I really like the theme! One of the best I've seen!

I'm having the following problem:

Nothing happens when users try to change their user pictures. When I switch themes, users can upload and change pictures as usual.

I'm currently using public files with the files in the usual place (sites/default/files) and the user pictures directory is sites/default/files/pictures

Thanks again for a great theme - I hope we can work this one out!
