I am sure this is a small issue, but I can't figure it out.

I am using the Marinelli (Giordani) theme. I love it. I changed the Banners to my own, and made sure I made them the exact same size as the ones that were in the banners folder.

My problem is that I cannot get the Primary or Secondary links (or even the menus) to appear. There is no orange bar underneath the banner, nor are there any tabs above.

I have tried and tried, set the navigation of each page numerous times to primary, secondary, etc. but no luck.

The only place I can get the links to the pages to show is when I use the default "Navigation" option, then they show up on the left.

I saw somewhere something about permissions, but I don't know how that would affect this.

Can someone help? As I said, it may be a simple solution, but it's one I've been searching for for a while and have not found an answer here.

Thanks.

Well, I think posting here made me smarter.

In case anyone else has this issue, there are several places to update the menu options! It's not enough to set the navigation when creating the page; you also must go to the Administer/Site Building/Menus and click on Settings ... and change the "Settings for Primary Links" and "Settings for Secondary Links" in the drop downs.

I've tried everything too - but I started out having what was your solution, already in place. What did you mean by setting the navigation of each page to primary, secondary, -- perhaps this is my problem. Thanks.
