How to make content profile, author pane etc use an imagecache version of the user picture?

Hello,

A bit confused by all the content profile, advanced profile kit, author pane etc etc modules, and none of them seem to be overriding the default user picture.

I set up an imagecache user thumbnail, but not sure where I could set it on the admin interface to be used in author pane, content profile etc.

Any ideas?
