Issue Summary

Hi there,

we are about to offer video podcasts for members on our site, but are concerned regarding the hosting of the files on the same server Drupal is deployed on. Is there the possibility to host the files on a different, dedicated server and use them with ffpc?

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I did not find anything related.

This is a great question and a good feature to add. Please see #647770: Make FFPC working with files in the cloud for more info.

As for path forward, I'm not going to write this until D7 because of stream wrappers in core. Someone else is more than welcome to come along with a patch in the meantime.
