Testing of -dev version before 6.x-1.24 release

Project:Storm
Version:6.x-1.x-dev
Component:Miscellaneous
Category:task
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:closed (fixed)

Issue Summary

I think it is essential for Storm that the stable versions ship as bug free as possible, so as we reach the point where I would like to make a release, I'd like to try a new system of helping to do this.

Please post here if you have tested the current -dev version. Once a good number of people have tested, there will be a release.

Please do not record the bugs here, but in separate issue with a link from here (Note that project issue numbers (ex. [#12345]) turn into links automatically). For all the bugs that are posted, i'll post on the bug reports if its something that I think needs sorting prior to the next stable release.

I am not going to commit any more on features / tasks between now and the next release.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Just one thing that occurred to me - to clarify, i'm not asking anyone to guarantee that there are no bugs, or that all have been reported - simply that if I know that several people have had a look, the chances are that more will have been caught.

Thanks.

I'm running the latest dev (for a couple of days).

The only thing I've run into is that the "Send PDF via e-mail" function on the StormInvoice module doesn't attach the invoice to the email. I haven't done any looking into this issue other than checking the error logs.

I'm testing the latest dev, with patch storm-343818.patch, and it's all working bug-free so far.

@squ1rr3l, re #2 - I've just checked the invoice sending and it works for me - would you be able to recheck, and if this is a problem create a new issue for that bug?

Thanks,

Created a bug report for the "send pdf via e-mail".

Version 6.x-1.24 has been released.

Running this was an idea to try to focus on bugs pre release - it didn't get much of an uptake so I probably won't do this next time.

However, its really useful to know how many people are (actively) trying the dev release (usage statistics only show that there is an installation - not how up to date it is), so its really useful if people mention in relevant issues when they have successfully tested a feature/patch/issue etc.
