Just wanted to note that the latest stable release for Drupal 6 comes with a .info file which specifies that it's for Drupal 7. I suppose this is just a minor issue while backporting code, but hopefully that's the only issue.

You are correct. I have already correct this issue, as it was pointed out before. It is fixed in SimpleTest 6.x-2.x-dev.
