If you require an image field in a flexinode from the page admin/node/field/**, after attempting to submit the node, the following error message will be displayed:

You must fill in the field "Image".

The only way to workaround this, is to NOT require the image field

Forgot to mention that this defect occurs whether you have selected an image in the image field or not..
