I'm trying to build a second Drupal site on a working server. When I run the install script, it gets past "Set up database" to "Install site" and just stops. The site now displays

Fatal error: Call to undefined function user_access() in /home/www/html/drupal-6.12/includes/theme.inc on line 1730

The previously installed site is working fine.

I've created a whole seperate install, and I have the same problem - gets past "Set up database" to "Install site" and stops. It is NOT creating a database in /var/lib/mysql/.

I have the same problem and here is a redirect to the thread on it. The solution at the end doesn't solve it for me
