In want to use hover tips and clicktips module but it's got a white box with a red cross in it on drupal and does that mean it might not be safe to use yet? I have only used the modules with a tick saying recommended for drupal 6

It means it's not 100% ready for use on production site as there is issues not resolved yet, this could be security or simply function or buggy with certain configurations. so you can try it out and see if it works for you but do so on your own risk.

Or that the user employing the modules isn't matching their module version to drupal versions.

Drupal 5.x modules and themes ONLY work on Drupal 5.x
Drupal 6.x modules and themes ONLY work on Drupal 6.x

Same will apply for Drupal 7.x when it is released.
There is no backward compatibility with modules or themes.

OK. So does anybody have a solution to installing a particular module to have hover text over a picture please other than hover and clicktips?
