I recently signed up for the security updates mailing list here on drupal.org and was hoping that I could find something similar for my own site. Basically, I want folks who visit my site to be able to supply an e-mail address and then get updates that I choose to send out. I don't want people to have to create accounts on my Drupal site - just supply an e-mail address.

After looking through the modules, I see that there are several options to do this for registered users. Can I send e-mail reminders/updates via any already written drupal modules where one does not have to be a registered user with the site?

Thanks for any help/comments,
randyesq

Simplenews allows for people to subscribe with an email address without creating an account on the site. As a bonus it seems when someone later creates an account, it updates and associates the previously supplied email with the account.

Thanks for the heads-up. After looking through all of the modules, I guess that one just slipped through. Work great!
