Both term and synonym do not display indicator

I am trying out Glossary and like it a lot. I created, for example a glossary containing the term "socialism" and listed "socialist" as a synonym. Without the synonym, the indicator shows for the word "socialism". When I add "socialist" as a synonym, the indicator shows for it but not for the main term, even though the synonym appears later in the article.
Is this the proper behavior?

I think this may be the same problem I've found: #559236: First match of synonym rather than first match in text
But if you want both to be linked/indicated, check in the glossary filter (for example, admin/settings/glossary/filter/1) under "Term matching" that the "Replace matches" setting is set to "All matches" rather than "Only the first match".
