I have a few needs for a badge system, maybe user badges can do this an I am just missing it.

I have a creative freedom site i would like :
If a user reviews a movie posting ... they get a badge
if a user posts a poetry content type .... they get a badge
If the user posts a blog content type .... they get a badge

Well you see the idea, yes i can manuelly do this but i was wondering if it can be done as they post and such.

I figured this out, miht be cool feature to add at some point.
For everyone else that might need this ... use rules (triggered rules)

Yup, use Rules. It's a great module, and very useful with User Badges :-)
