Great module. It is a nice alternative to the Subscriptions/ notifications option. Best of all it is simple for the end user to figure out. I do have one feature request, and that is the ability to "watch" a Forum Container. Is that something that could be added to the module? I think that it would be a welcome feature for many users out there in Drupal land.

solipsist commentedWatcher is node-centric. That means you cannot watch taxonomy terms for new nodes. In the future Watcher will be node- and comment-centric but that's as far as I'll take it. Subscriptions already supports tracking taxonomy terms and it works nicely. I know Subscriptions comes with a complex UI but Watcher was never meant to replace Subscriptions. The goal of Watcher was to address the needs of the majority of users in a usability oriented fashion, not to be the ultimate notification solution.

itowler commentedSolipsist,
Thanks for the reply. I understand your comments.
I really like the ease of use that watcher offers. Its to bad that you will not be taking watcher to the taxonomy term level.
Thanks again for your hard work and great module.

Ela commentedI use notifications module for taxonomy terms and only for that. However, it's a heavy module and it requires messaging module ..
It would be GREAT if watcher could do this ...as it would make it possible to get rid of 2 modules.. :)
