Great module. It is a nice alternative to the Subscriptions/ notifications option. Best of all it is simple for the end user to figure out. I do have one feature request, and that is the ability to "watch" a Forum Container. Is that something that could be added to the module? I think that it would be a welcome feature for many users out there in Drupal land.

Watcher is node-centric. That means you cannot watch taxonomy terms for new nodes. In the future Watcher will be node- and comment-centric but that's as far as I'll take it. Subscriptions already supports tracking taxonomy terms and it works nicely. I know Subscriptions comes with a complex UI but Watcher was never meant to replace Subscriptions. The goal of Watcher was to address the needs of the majority of users in a usability oriented fashion, not to be the ultimate notification solution.

I really like the ease of use that watcher offers. Its to bad that you will not be taking watcher to the taxonomy term level.

I use notifications module for taxonomy terms and only for that. However, it's a heavy module and it requires messaging module ..
It would be GREAT if watcher could do this ...as it would make it possible to get rid of 2 modules.. :)
