There was a great request over a year ago for support for confirmation emails to carry iCal info so that those signing up could add the event to their Outlook Calendar - http://drupal.org/node/286071. But the thread petered out.

Is there any chance of getting this for this already-great module? I am using the Drupal 6 version.

If you find a feature lingering in this issue queue and want to revive it, please comment on the original thread, ideally by contributing something new to the discussion (best case: a patch that implements the feature, or an offer to help, offer to sponsor, etc). Forking the discussion doesn't help, and just makes more work for me. Thanks.

Thanks. Sorry, I did not think I should comment on the same issue as it concerned the D5 version, whereas I am using the D6 version of the module. Is it OK for me to change the Version when I update the thread?

@edward: Yes, the versions change all the time as the life of an issue develops. There are many feature requests, and I don't get to all of them in each release, so sometimes an older feature still has an old version but needs to be moved...
