None of my messages are appearing on my site at all. I'm using the D6 dev version.

Could it be a permissions issue? I have all the permissions below set to Admin only, should there be a view admin_message content permission or anything? I have the content access module installed, but that's set to allow anyone to view the admin_message messages.

Any ideas?

This is stated in the first sentence of the module description on d.o so I'm going to close this issue.

But I agree that admin_message lacks basic documentation and so I've created an issue just for that: #1844838: Create README.txt, admin_message.api.php and set message on module enable
