Hi, I maintain some modules, and would like someone with proper rights to remove an atachement from an issue:
http://drupal.org/node/378130#comment-1795922.
Its http://drupal.org/files/issues/uc_ogone-6-x-1.4-beta.tar_.gz

Reason is I don't want any issues posted for non-official releases, its also confusing to have module downloads inside an issue.

Thanks!

Kees

The author of the comment is lstroobant, who is not who opened this request.

I don't see any reason to remove the attachment.

Well, Kees is the maintainer of that module and I think his reasoning is sound. Also the other poster seems not to mind to remove it.

However, I've actually not found a way to delete the file through the UI.

To remove the attachment sounds like censorship.
We normally remove content with a good reason, not because somebody doesn't like it. At request of the author of a comment, we can remove some data that should be private, but this is not the case.

Please look up the definition of censorship.

http://drupal.org/node/378130#comment-1918624 <== this sounds like agreement to the request, IMO.

Still, the reason given by the OP sounds like "I don't like it, and I want it removed"; it would have been better if he would have added "the commenter agrees on removing it".

Anyway, we are talking of a issue that is set as fixed; is to remove the attached file so important (considering that it cannot be done from who is site maintainer)?

Hi,

I raised some debate apparently :-).
This is not a big issue, I just like things to stay clean.
I first asked the comment author, he had no option to remove it. See: http://drupal.org/node/378130#comment-1918624.

If its that hard don't bother.

Thanks,

Kees

The comment has been unpublished; at least the attachment is now hidden.
