Description

I couldn't find any documentation for as sample setup, so I'm supplying my own crappy steps. Please correct as you see fit, as I have no idea what I'm doing.

Step 1. Enable main mailarchive module
Step 2. Execute sql statement to create mailarchive table, since current build has invalid table arguments. See bug #548756: Invalid SQL create table statement
Step 3. Enable remaining caching, statistics, and view modules for mailarchive.
Step 4. Create a category in mailing list archives (admin/content/mailarchive), name it a mail archive, ex: "Mysite Mail archives"
Step 5. Configure permissions? mailarchive_view module -> access mailing lists archives to authenticated user
Step 6. Create content -> mailing list archive. Fill in the fields for your archive feed.
a. "mailing list archives" should list a taxonomy you created in step 4. If you not, cron imported messages will not get assigned a taxonomy and become orphaned.
b. menu link title: assign a title for access
c. url name: as described
d. subscription status: disabling this will prevent items from being added to archive.
e. mail server. Fill in as appropriate
Step 7. Performance. select as appropriate. (What ramifications does this have, exactly?)
Step 8. Revision information. Leave as is? Makes new revisions of what?
Step 9. Comment settings. Comments on the archive?
Step 10. Authored by
Step 11. Publish items to system. Best to leave as published, might want to not promote to front page if importing a lot of stuff.
