Hey there,

Is there the possibility to use the Taxonomy Browser Module together with Hierarchical Select so that the user can those extended select boxes?

My second question is if I can make the module link to the existing taxonomy page for the chosen item (e.g. /taxonomy/term/965)?

Thanks,

Nico

any persons are interested to work on the d7 version ?

I'd be happy to take a look at a patch for D7.

hello Nancy,

so we should maybe open a new branch for this patch on D7 ?

nancydru’s picture

Until a patch is supplied, there is no need for a 7.x branch. Besides, I haven't got Git figured out yet.

ok i see..so we have to wait patiently to have this great module on d7... but a patch could be enough to use it on d7 ?

nancydru’s picture

Well, a branch is just an empty hole; it takes a patch to fill it with code. And a patch can be tested; there's nothing to test in an empty hole. What I have done so far leads me to say that the biggest change to core is Taxonomy.

ok so i guess first needed is to look for changes in the taxonomy core of D7 thank u Nancy

Title: Hierarchical Select » Hierarchical Select and Taxonomy Browser

The API for Taxonomy has largely been replaced with the new Fields API.

yes i have just read that too.... i will try to ask to some drupalist if they can help us with that ( i know i'm probably the most impatient person in the world who wants to have the taxonomy browsers for D7) haha but i assume that role...

Hello Ela, What mean exactly suscribing ?

@yoann54: subscribe is just to follow this issue through getting automatic email notifications when it is updated or receiving new posts, as drupal.org does not offer any email notifications options yet. Others write +1 to show they agree or support the issue, or whatever. It does not matter what you write. Having posted or changed any information in an issue automatically triggers email notifications to your email about that issue. Afterwards, there is NO WAY to stop those updates to your email from the issues you have posted in. Hopefully drupal.org will provide a dedicated and more appropriate function for this some day, but for now, feel free to do the same yourself, as there are no other option.
