I'm not sure if I posted this in the right category...

I would simply like to change the way my blog looks. I love my theme (jaded), but the blog portion is VERY plain. It's just plain text floating over white space.

I would simply like to have colored, rounded squares as the background around the content of each of the blog entries (like www.perezhilton.com). Could somebody suggest where I would get started to achieve this?

You could create a template in your theme called theme-blog.tpl.php (copy node.tpl.php then modify it to suit).
