We upgraded our site last week, and the images are all gone and this [img_assist|nid=25|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=425|height=283] is in its place. I can't find the image gallery and the image module appears to be gone. Do we need to reinstall it? How do we fix this problem?

ggevalt commentedWe have been wrestling with this issue for days.... We have also lost the images on the site. We have gone from 5.1 to 5.2 which is where we first lost them. We were able to restore most by reverting and we saw that the Image table had been created per the dictum on going to 5.2 so we went ahead and continued with upgrading the site to 6. In all cases, we have "lost" the images.
As I look around this module's forums, I see a lot of references to this problem. I have attempted to use several "fix" queries to no avail. The node_images appear intact. The actual images are in the file system. Permissions and input formats are correct. File system is pointing in the correct place.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP with this. What can we do?

webadminstmarkdc commentedgeoff- I've been told that the upgrade the image module we had been using was no longer supported.

joachim commentedGone how?
Are the filenames still in the DB?
Are the files still on the HD?
If so, how are they related?
Did you move your files?

sunYou have an issue with Image assist, and your issue is that your input format no longer has the "Inline images" input filter enabled, that's why you see those unrendered tags.
That, however, has nothing to do with Image module.
