Ajaxified Comments Theming

paulgrimshaw - August 14, 2009 - 19:27

// THIS JOB HAS NOW BEEN ALLOCATED - THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST //

I want to ajaxify my comments - the basics are that I want the user to enter a comment within the existing thread and post without leaving the page and the next page button will load up the next page of comments in situ, no page reload. I would like the ability for users to thumb up/down replies. There are a couple of other requirements, but its easier if I show you my mockup page.

If you have experience with this sort of thing, let me know and I will send you a link to a html mockup which shows exactly what I want to achieve and then you can ask as many questions as you want to get the exact detail of how I want it to behave.

I will require previous work experience from you and links to any sites where you may have done similar work. Please don't contact me unless you are able to provide.

At end of the project I need the complete package ready to intergrate into my site, so thats the css, modules etc. I will supply the mockup html, css and images for you to use.

edit: I would prefer the backend to be module based for later upgrades, like ajax comments or ajax modules - this is a theming and initial setup job.

Thanks,
Paul.

Not used it, but might be

Is there a reason this can't be used? http://drupal.org/project/ajax_comments

No, in fact I would like it

No, in fact I would like it to so that I can upgrade later to D7 easier. The job needs other things as well and I really have no time at all to work on this as I am rushing to finish my ubercart theming and want to outsource a few self contained jobs so try and move things along.

Try popups_api, (I could set

Try popups_api, (I could set up this 4 u, as custom module needs to be written to make this working). If intersted then write email.

not work with Advanced Forum yet

Good idea, but I can not get it to work properly for the Advanced Forum on my site about Dota AllStars: when a new comment is added to the forum, it looks like a regular comment, not styled with Advanced Forum theme. After refreshing the page it looks normal.
