So I just updated to the latest version (6.x-1.2) and all of a sudden the placeholders show up and I can't disable them even though the option to display them is turned off. I have to guess that there is a bug with the latest version. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Placeholders are normal if you are logged in as user 1.

Log off and see what you get.

Users with advanced privileges can't see them, which is good. But is there a way for me to turn them off? I know I did it before.

No.. We got too many admin users complaining that they couldn't see the ads while logged in.. This way, the admin will know where the ads are and that they are (sort of) working.
