When enabled on comments, it redirects to the wrong URL

I enabled Ajax for the comment forms, but when I click on save it tries to connect to a URL that doesn't contain the port number. I am using MAMP, and the web server is enabled at the port 8888, which doesn't appear in the URL it tried to use (causing the browser to report a connection error).
