Just to clarify, I've just updated to 1.4.2.3 and am using Drupal 4.7-CVS, bang up-to-date as of today.

The README in the invite module says that there is a link in the Buddies section of a users profile called "Invite a Friend". That link doesn't appear for me. I've also checked the page source and it is not in there either (i.e., no theming issue).

User access rights are set so that isn't the problem either.

I too am having the same problem. Not much use of this module without being able to use the "Invite a Friend" link. I'm using Drupal 4.7 beta 6 and have the buddies module activated.

Okay, so after some digging around, I found a menu item that was not active for inviting friends and collegues. I'm assuming this is the way to use this module. If so, then an update should be made to the README.

I believe it was "invite friends and collegues"... I changed it to "invite friends"

Thanks for the tip. I found the menu item and enabled it. However the readme says the invite link will show in the buddy section of my account. That I do not see nor can I find anything not configered to put it there. Ideas?

I have checked send invitations under the invite module in the access control settings. But nowhere can i find the buddies section to invite people...

Sorry, the solution was right there, i just didnt pay attention to the details. I went to access control instead of Menus. I went to menus and ENABLED the invite a friend menu item and now it is working!

I've made this a normal menu item now rather than a 'suggested' one for clarity. Let me know in a new issue if you have any more difficulties and thanks for reporting the issue.
