fatal error upon module uploading

i have been having trouble with the gallery software working, it wont display thumbnails.
so i removed all of the gallery stuff and reinstalled it
i put the gallery module in sites/all
i put gallery2 in the drupal root (not web root)
i created the folder for the gallery files (i installed the gallery software as multisite) in the /sites/sitename/g2

everytime i go to the admin menu in /admin/build/modules to try to activate the gallery i get this error

this is the third time ive tried to install this, i was thinking it may have been something left from a previous install, maybe in the database, bur i dont know much about how drupal works
