Hey everyone,

I'm just trying to understand when I would use Ubercart Discount Framework and when I would use Ubercart Discount Coupons (http://drupal.org/project/uc_coupon). Do the two modules play nice together or do they duplicate functionality?

The reason that I ask is because on the now-abandoned UC Discounts project page (http://drupal.org/project/uc_discounts), it says that the module has been replaced by UC Discount Framework, but then also says that the original plan was to merge the module with Ubercart Discount Coupons.

If someone could clear this up, I'd really appreciate it!

Cheers,
Ben

I echo BenK's questions and would also like to respectfully request some documentation for this module as I am having some trouble figuring out what this module does (and doesn't do). For instance, I see a "Coupon Discount" pane on the checkout page but haven't found how to create a coupon in the admin section. What are the specifics of the trigger in Conditional Actions? Any help/explanation would be helpful.

Keep up the good work, fellas!

Ditto. It would be good for the front module page here on d.o to simply list the various other modules that use the API provided by Discount Framework, with a short list of reasons why one might pick a particular option over another. Additionally, it should also link to any other modules that don't use the framework, if they are potential alternatives to it.

Same problem here.

What are the features?

Should I use this one or coupons? Does this one even do coupons or is it only off triggers? Do the discounts show inside the cart or at least on the checkout page?

I realise this is quite an old thread but I have the same question so any guidance from the maintainer or others would be most welcome. Thank you.
