I was receiving the backups by e-mail and they were being placed in the specified directory on a weekly basis. When I altered the backup interval to be one per day, the backups stopped and I cannot get them going again. I have the latest 4.6 version of this module and I'm using poor-man's cron.

Can you try again using the 4.7 version of the module? I haven't been able to reproduce this problem.

I'm not sure at what point this was fixed for me, but I've since upgraded to Drupal 5, and things seem to be working.
