Is there a way to incorporate recipe information in views, such as ingredients, source, procedure, etc.

Yep, sort of..
#672258: Patch to give Recipe module some Views2 support provides Views access to everything... although, Ingredients causes a duplication of fields (rows really).
You could still use Views in this capability, as a list of recipes or index.
