Hi Gus, I'm having a little trouble tracking down the current status of this... Haven't looked into it seriously for quite a while, but would like to assess the viability soon.

We're starting a year-long weekly series in January - planned to use skype, but would much rather go with oss. Has the discussion moved elsewhere (from the g.d.o pages above)?

Apart from DimDim, you may try R-HUB web conferencing servers for all your web conferencing needs. It provides a simple and easy to use interface and works on all platforms viz Windows, MAC, Android, iOS etc.
