I am using drupal image module to build an image gallery.In there i want to give the link to upload new photos on the image gallery page itself rather than in the upload content separately.Could you suggest me the code for the same that need to be incorporated in the image_gallery.module file .

Currently you can theme the gallery page to put a link in.
When we move to views you can put in a views header.
