Book Manager missing "none" as option. Forces user to "create new book" for all enabled content types.

I'm using Book Manager to enable my users to create personal books, but it is forcing all enabled content types to become new books, missing the "none" option.

My authenticated users have permissions through book manager module to create personal books and add content to personal books. They do not have regular book permissions.

At the content creation screen, under the "book" section, the default option is set to "Create New Book" and there are no other options.

Is there a way to have "none" be a choice and have it default to none?
