Job Description
This position will be joining a small group of web developers who work primarily on secure portal sites shared with the company’s clients as well as developing internal company web sites. The successful candidate will be a person able to work under sometimes tough deadlines and be able to juggle multiple tasks at once. Strong written and verbal communication skills a must!
This position is full-time based in Washington, DC. DCI is definitely open to contributing back to the Drupal community, we hope that the successful candidate will help define how we can best do so.
As a Drupal developer, the successful candidate would be experienced with the following: PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX.
Your Qualifications:
• 1+ years working with drupal 5 or 6
• Experience with Drupal 5 or 6 installation, configuration and module creation.
• Working knowledge of CCK, Services, Views, and other popular drupal modules.
• Experience building PHP 5 Drupal modules that use MySQL.
• Ability to translate site maps and wire frames into appropriate Drupal themes, content types, views, and custom modules following our shop's best practices.
• Strong knowledge in setting up appropriate user administration and permission sets.
• Ability to work with designers to theme interface design.
• Ability to create necessary PHP template files, with valid xHTML and CSS.
• Experience with cross-browser issues and work-arounds, as well as W3 web standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Self-motivated and directed. Inspired to learn and add value to our shop's services.
• Experience with mysql administration (phpAdmin or otherwise)
Not required but big plusses:
• Experience with Drupal Flash integration using Services, AMFPHP or other similar solution.
• Experience with memcached
• Experience with Coldfusion
