Hi there,
I've been experiencing a requirements problem right after i select language when installing drupal. I am running a Mac OS use MAMP. Please see error message below. Thank you for your help!
The Drupal installer requires that you create a settings file as part of the installation process.
1. Copy the ./sites/default/default.settings.php file to ./sites/default/settings.php.
2. Change file permissions so that it is writable by the web server. If you are unsure how to grant file permissions, please consult the on-line handbook.
More details about installing Drupal are available in INSTALL.txt.

You have to do as it is
You have to do as it is saying. The installer needs the settings.php file and it needs write access to it. This is covered in the installation instructions.
tried it, no luck
I done everything in what the instructions says but no luck i still have problems with these requirement. i have change the permission even created a folder 'files' for drupal to dump its installation files on......can anyone help
had you done anything the instructions say
then you wouldn't be having any issues.
You need to follow the instructions.
You just need to change the permissions! (and then re-change for security reasons)
