Please see pictures 1 and 2. When simplemenu is not activated the ul items can be found in their right position. However, when activated it "pushes down" the ul items, causing them to misalign. Does this has todo anything with my html code?

Good one. Those two images are not from the same page. I have no clue what is wrong. And this is a very old post...

You may want to have a look at version 1.x-dev for now. I'm not support 2.x and 1.x has many new features/bug fixes.
