I don't know if this is an FCKeditor or Drupal problem, so I've opened tickets in both forums. I can insert an image using Drupal/ FCKeditor and Drupal 9 or 10, but when I try to link the image the image gets deleted and only the link remains. This functionality works fine in IE and Firefox.

Does this also happen on the FCKeditor demo on http://www.fckeditor.net/demo? Try to insert an image that is available online and then create a link to it.

I can confirm that this issue exists. Unfortunately, it's not fixable by me, as it is an FCKeditor problem, not a module problem. I hope it gets fixed. Otherwise, try CKeditor 3.0 with the wysiwyg module.

Thanks Jorrit, I'll try that. The FCKEditor team confirmed the issue and also said the fix is to upgrade to CKeditor.
