I just completed an embed of Gallery 2 into Drupal 6.13 which was working fine initially. However, the theming (matrix) has now vanished from both the strandalone and the embed, and both are now loading very slowly (seems to be struggling for something)

Everything in the Drupal install tab shows fine except it still tells me I need to disable the Gallery 2 registration plugin, though I have done and confirmed this. Gallery 2 and site theme info is set up seemingly correct in the Drupal config panel.

Drupal is installed to my root, and Gallery2 to a 'Gallery2' subfolder within that root. I had a Deny all htaccess in the gallery2 folder but I've since deleted that so I can figure out where my theme went.

My locations are:

http://uomeds.com/gallery2
http://uomeds.com/gallery

user/pass: test/test

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It was an awesome setup while it was working, and I would love to get it back up.

Thanks.

I just checked the error logs in my cpanel and it says over and over

[Thu Aug 20 06:41:36 2009] [alert] [client MY IP ADDRESS] /home/uomeds/public_html/gallery2/.htaccess: <Files> directive requires additional arguments, referer: http://uomeds.com/gallery

But those errors have stopped since I deleted the gallery2/.htaccess file. Besides that there are no other errors logged.

Looking through old issues I see I was probably not supposed to setup my own htaccess (was following old instructions) because the url rewrite function would create its own htaccess rules. I just tried resetting an re-installing from my Drupal config panel with no errors.

When I test the url rewrite from gallery admin, I do not get success for either htaccess.

My host says mod_rewrite is enabled, and that shows success in the gallery test.

What could be wrong?

I just looked at noticed a couple things.

You need to give people permission to see gallery in Drupal.
Matrix loads fine in the gallery2 address you gave.
Also the registration module in G2 is still active. I saw the link.

Ya never mind. I think I'm a total idiot and it was just my Firefox was buggered. Switched to IE and it shows. Where's the delete thread button on here? lol.

Serves me right for not checking in multiple browsers. Lesson learned. Sorry about that.

Now it's back to getting my URL rewrite working...

Don't worry it happens to everyone at one time or another. I have marked this closed. If you have problems with URL rewrite be sure to search here. There has been quite a bit of discussion about it.
