Though the interface on Advanced Help is not all that helpful, it is widely used and will be a good place to put our documentation that I think can be easily transfered in the future to whatever the documentation system is for Drupal 7.

Ideally, I think we should just put all the advanced help in the base module, including help for the other modules. Let me know what you think.

zzolo commentedI have created the advanced help module integration: http://drupal.org/cvs?commit=262216 . I have also removed the text-based file documentation because it seemed redundant. I don't necessarily like the Advanced Help module, or the fact that someone has to to download another module and have a working site to see the bulk of documentation, but it seems like the best way to go so that documentation is more accessible.
I have got a good start going, but could use any help in filling it all out.

zzolo commentedConceding for 1.x. There is a fair amount there. I would like to focus my time more on 2.x. If someone else wants to re-open that would be awesome.
