I am trying to figure out a way to set the display format for an embedded video in teaser view to just link to the node, not play the video. just a thumbnail. right now all the thumbnails play the video just really small.

Drupalove.com has a similar format where the embedded video thumbnails link to the node instead of playing the video wen you click on it.

In CCK Manage field of the embedded video field- Set the desired thumbnail size.
In CCK Display field of the embedded video field- set the Teaser to Default and set Full node to Full Size Video.
In the view - set the Format in the embedded video field to Image Thumbnail.
For unknown reason there is no need to mark the Link this field to its node option in the view.
