'Administer' page times out -Need help!

Last week i was creating a new newsletter for my client and I started to use Apture as a nice techy addition to the project. Anyways, the administrative part of the site started acting weird by running very very slow and then quit working all together.

It's been exactly 1 week now and I've not been able to get into the administrative portion of the site at all as it just times out on me. The rest of the site is working properly (as far as I can tell).

I have tried to remove all of the modules and then uploading them again but that's not fixed the problem. I'm concerned that if I have to reinstall the site that I'll lose all of the data for the site. I guess that as long as I don't delete the DB's then it should all be ok, but will I lose any of the formatting or other individual touches?

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
