Hi all,

I am running 4.6.6 and was getting along quite well with 4.6.5. I saw the note about the 4.6.6 security upgrade but since it was a new site undergoing testing, I just installed a fresh 4.6.6.

Under 4.6.5 with i18n I could create taxonomies and choose the languages. Taxonomy menu worked fine as well. However with 4.6.6 there is no longer a language drop down when creating the taxonomy. But without that of course I couldn't create translations for the categories. So I modified the database directly to change the language settings. With that I could do translations but both menus would show regardless of the language.

I can still create multilingual content. That is not a problem. And I am really into this i18n module. Great work! And something seems to have just broken the translation for taxonomies. Not sure...

The server is running linux, and the development server is running windows. Both were fine with 4.6.5, both are broken, in this way only as far as I can tell, with 4.6.6.

I also tested by changing the settings so that a both 4.6.5 install and a 4.6.6 install were pointing at the same database. One has it correct, the other doesn't. Hmm... perhaps I'll re-install a 4.6.5 for this issue and see if that solves it for me...

Any thoughts out there? If no one else is having this experience then it must have been something I did, or didn't do right.

I also did a fresh install of 4.6.6 this week, and installed the i18n module. However i didn't experience the problem you have. I can see the dropdown lists when adding a term or vocabulary for language selection.

Did you use the new i18n patches for 4.6.6 or the 4.6.5 ones?

are there 4.6.6 versions of the patches? I only realized that I have to redo the patches for the 4.6.6 installs but simply haven't done it. Then the note in the other thread said the 4.6.5 patches don't work. Two of the files between 4.6.5 and 4.6.6, the taxonomy.module and bootstrap.inc files are pretty much identical except for a date format in the first line or two.

common.inc is the one with the differences so I am looking into that now.

I was about to say that I copied the old patched bootstrap.inc.patch and taxonomy.module.patch files up and changed the file names for testing. It promptly gave a fatal error with the change in the bootstrap.inc file so I changed that one back but then it seems to be working so far!

That said, I will take a look at the files you just posted... just registered. Downloading...
