Been trying to set a panel page for all organic group homepages, but I'm hung up on the path. The only tutorial I've found for setting this up is unfortunately for drupal 5(http://www.tejasa.com/node/160) and doesn't apply to D6 with panels 3 as it suggest "node/%" as the path which doesn't work with panels 3.

Does anybody know how to set up a panel homepage for groups with D6 and panels 3?

Are you using http://drupal.org/project/og_panels? This is still in development stage, but I managed to get it to work by selecting the "Home page" radio button - the path seems to be irrelevant.

I did try to install that but I got an error on update, so I haven't fiddle with it until i can do the database update properly.

Do you refer to singular group homepages made manually by group owners, or a global one which will replace all group homepages as a default with content defined by the administrator(what I'm trying to do)?

I got the error message too, but that didn't seem to stop it working.

I'm referring to the former - but like you, what I really want is the latter.

I'm using the latest dev of og_panels, and found that it actually did work for me.
The thing I'm trying to do is make a "default" layout that get's automatically made when a new group home page is started. The og_panels module works great, but I don't want to have to explain to all group admins the different settings. The only solution so far is for me to allow the group admins to start the group by filling out the form, then I'll create the home page for them making it a panels page. If we get busy, I could see that becoming a problem.
What would be great, is a way to generate a basic panels version, when the group is first started.

Same here, seems to work but would not allow to e.g. make some pre-configured group pages to select one from.

I think the missing feature is to have the possibility to have a setting in the Panels menu somewhere that this panel page should be available as group start page, and then have the list of such configured pages available for selection on the groups home page.

Other than that, this module comes in just the right moment because everyone's asking for this functionality in my og-based Intranet - so, great work!
