getting "available updates" message to go away: certain themes & cvs deploy module

CVS theme management, with "CVS Deploy" contributed module.

Certain themes do not jive, and give me an annoying "available updates" status message; I need to modify something? somewhere?

I looked in specific_theme.info and not seeing anything.

I just un-clicked the "Enabled" box next to theme in Administer > Themes > List
