$skinr NULL on views-view--VIEWNAME.tpl.php

When using a specific template for a view as wiews-view--MYVIEW.tpl.php (in theme) the $skinr var is null.

When I remove my specific template field and falls back with views-view.tpl.php (also in my theme folder) $skinr is well set.

Anyone also noticed this behaviour?
