I'm about to submit a patch to the views bonus module which creates a new formatting option for feed displays in views for KML output, similar to the existing CSV output option provided by that module. This requires a small new feature in the location module, which should also help generate KML in other circumstances. Patch attached.

If this needs to be re-opened, please change the version to 7.x-4.x as there is a feature freeze on the 3.x branches.
