Description

Dear Mr,
Control Panel is really enjoyable. I have only one minor remark, but this remark could greatly increase the use of this module. Currently with such kind of menu:
Menu a
Menu b
Menu c
Menu cl
Menu c2
Control Panel build 2 areas:
Area root with icons: menu a, b, c
Area c with icons: with c1, c2
Thus taking the administer menu into account, the “settings” icon appears into the "administer" area rather than appears as the first icon of the "settings" area. Thus I suggest to you that when item menu has sub-items, it is displayed as the first icon of the corresponding area, or alternatively as an icon at the top side of the area (just up to the name of the area). Then control panel can be used to build an elegant user area including (depending on user rights) the administration section (Screenshot is attached).

I recently discover that using Control panel, I can build a whole “User area” with a menu like that :
User Area
Workspace
Buddylist
Recent content
Search
Create content
Forum
Page
Help pages
Help 1
Help 2
Administer
Account
Log off

Taking into account the previous problem, it is a little bit a pity that :
1) The root “User area” displays not only workspace, buddylist, search, recent content icons but also create content, help pages, and Administer icons.
2) The area "create content" does not display the “create content” icon,…
3) Off course, when clicking on "create content" icon, the user is directed to the page and not the corresponding area.

One of the major advantage of such organisation is that now, the horizontal path displayed is always home > User area > xxx whatever the action of the user. Not only the navigation is facilitated and clearer, the path inside the content of the site is different from those inside the user area. And the user has now a nice graphical interface to the user tools... (I need to add specific icons...)

Sincerely

I am sorry, the post displays flat lists. Better to see the screenshot.
