I am trying to customize the display of my node add/edit page but all I get is a new node/edit page. I am trying loads of different settings but all I get is a new edit form.

What is the trick? Where is the turn I might have missed? Can anybody help or point to a good how-to (my search brought nothing up)?

A confirmation would undoubtfully put the blame on me. I am still trying but only get a overridden node/edit.......

Seems to be some interference with i18n (follow the link to the issue queue).
