I recently upgraded my site from 5 to 6. I am running Drupal 6.13 and CAS 6.x-1.0. A user that is blocked, and was successfully blocked when I was running everything in version 5, just logged in and posted to the site. I WAS able to block a test account which didn't login through CAS. Am I missing something? This is very critical as I run an open forum on a campus, and I HAVE to be able to use CAS and I HAVE to be able to block users.

I did try adding access permission blocks by username and email address (this never worked with version 5 either), which didn't work, and the block at the username level is now not working either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's an issue posted at http://drupal.org/node/180608 that talks about this. I'm going to verify which versions this got fixed in 6.x and get back to you.

I was aware of this issue in 5 and used the patch to fix the problem.... I am pretty anxious about this. One my trolls has already found his way back onto my site, and I have no way to block him. I am just hoping he doesn't spread the word... When you can let me know something about this, I'd really appreciate it, even it's bad news....

I've verified that this has been fixed in the current dev release for 6.x. If you're in a hurry then download that one, but otherwise, I'll be rolling a new release this week.
