Hello,
This module is critical to me.
The version with all the patches attached in the forum here work "well enough". However, this module is absolutely critical for Free Software Magazine.
Therefore, I would like to take over this module.
Enhanchements:
* More configurable permissions. I created a configuration option so that access to this module ALSO depends on access to the compared node
* (not yet done) Make the diffs more reliable and more minimal
...and so on.
Please let me know what I should do to get CVS access to the module.
Merc.

sepeck commentedYou contact the maintainer via his contact form is a suggested first step. The current maintainer is very active in the community. You can also supply the patches for the modifications you have made and see if the current maintainer accepts them.

mercmobily commentedHi,
I believe Moshe is the current maintainer.
He has already offered somebody else to take over the module.
The module needs serious updating. I think it's well beyond patching.
I am redoing it so that it uses the _new_ diff library, and it seems to be better (I am in the middle of doing it though).
I am very happy to send the new full module to Moshe, and see if he decides to turn my version into the "current" one.
Bye,
Merc.

mercmobily commentedHi,
I have a version of Diff which works perfectly well with 4.7, doesn't have bugs, doesn't mess up the HTML, does the required "minimal comparison", etc.
I will attach it here later on today, once I am 10000% happy with it.
Bye,
Merc.

moshe weitzman commentedplease post the new diff package in your other thread. it is premature to talk about taking over the module. lets see some code and then we'll decide how to proceed. thanks for working on this module.
